About the Book
Book: Let Love Spring Author: Jodie Wolfe, Sandy Faye Mauck, & Linda Shenton Matchett Genre: Historical Romance Release Date: March 30, 2017 An Angel for the Cowboy When the bank threatens foreclosure on Essie Love’s home, it’s up to her to provide for her sisters. She’ll do whatever it takes to save them, even if it means marrying a stranger. Jud Steele is wanted for a crime he didn’t commit. Wounded and left for dead, he lands on Essie’s doorstep. While she nurses him back to health, he finds himself longing for a home and family. Can two desperate people find a path that leads to what they both need? Spring Recaptured The seed that falls in the dead of winter sometimes becomes the seed of life that rises in spring. Late winter’s chill heats up quickly when Ren Klinghoffer sees the only girl he’s ever loved coming back into town after disappearing one dark night six years ago. The rumors of her being widowed and having a child appear to be true. Andrea Vandermere Radcliff nervously returns to Springdale to stay with her aunt, afraid of only two things—keeping the secret that could harm her family and facing the beloved man she was stolen from. Anger and unforgiveness plague the once betrothed couple. Will their broken hearts mend enough to bring them to the place of God’s peace and hope? Or will the sins of others permanently destroy the love that once bloomed in the spring of their lives? A Love Not Forgotten Allison White should be thrilled about her upcoming wedding. The problem? She’s still in love with her fiancé, Chaz, who was declared dead after being shot down over Germany in 1944. Can she put the past behind her and settle down to married life with the kindhearted man who loves her? It’s been two years since Charles “Chaz” Powell was shot down over enemy territory. The war is officially over, but not for him. He has amnesia as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, and the only clue to his identity is a love letter with no return address. Will he ever regain his memories and discover who he is, or will he have to forge a new life with no connections to the past? My Review This is a compilation book with three separate stories in this book. As you can guess by the title they all center around love. These are good clean love stories that also involve a Christian aspect to them. These were a rather easy light read but enjoyable. If you are a fan of historical Christian romance you will love these. In an Angel for a Cowboy Essie and Jud both have a plan for a path they want to take in their life but when Jud falls onto her doorstep it changes their plans over time. I liked how Essie was loyal to her family by taking care of her sisters. Next is Spring Recaptured and in it Ren and Andi deal with how things from our past don't always stay in our past but can sometimes come back into our life years later. Very sweet story. And last is A Love not Forgotten and in it you will meet Chaz and Allison and their story has a bit more of a twist that they will work through. Each of these three stories were nice clean love stories . I received this book for free. Book: Murder for the Time Being Author: Joanie Bruce Genre: Christian Suspense/Romance Release Date: November 29, 2016 “You’ll pay for this. I’ll get you both.” Computer expert Lexi Wynn is frightened. Someone is after her, but she doesn’t know why. Is it because of her past or because she was thrust into a deadly bank robbery and might identify the ones responsible? Escaping a failed kidnapping attempt and not sure who to trust, she hopes her specialized skills with computers might flush out the name of the killer. When a tall, dark, and handsome stranger rams into her truck with the hearse he’s driving and puts his life in danger to save hers, can she ignore the attraction she feels for him to concentrate on the killers? Or is God the only one who can save her now? Drew Sheffield is irritated when a cute lady stops abruptly in front of him and he plows into the back of her pickup. After their initial confrontation, flashbacks of honeysuckle and sassy green eyes linger in his thoughts. When Lexi is threatened, he steps in to help the feisty young woman, in spite of agonizing over a past relationship. Can Lexi and Drew forget the tragedies of the past and embrace the feelings between them or will ghostly memories snub out the promise of a future together? About the Author Joanie has a strong passion for reading, and her love for books with nail-biting suspense, inspires her to write contemporary suspense books. Thankful that God has given her the ability to write from her home in the country, she strives to use that opportunity to honor Him in all of her writing. Joanie and her husband, Ben, live in a country home near Madison, Georgia, right in the middle of a pasture full of beef cows. There they raised and homeschooled their three children. She enjoys cooking, taking long walks, painting oil portraits, and caring for their home in the country. My Review This book is the first in a series so you will not be missing out on anything. It starts out with a bit from Lexi's past and at first that was kinda confusing how it tied into the rest of the story but it developed later and made more sense. Lexi and her mom happpened to be somewhere at a not so good time and her mom chose to be brave and stop an attempted robbery but her choice had consequences. Drew is working at the local funeral home and they kinda had a bump in their meeting which caused some rocky feelings. Past things in Lexi's life are having something to do with her being chased. There wasn't alot of violence which was good but alot of suspense. Personally it took me a bit to get into the story but I encourage you to stay with it and it does get more interesting as it goes along and is a good book. I received this book for free. Towards the end I just didn't wanna put it down . The story follows a girl named Emma and her struggles due to having been in an accident and not remembering her life from before then. There are many twists in this story. She goes to stay with her sister and brother in law to help them out since her sister is expecting. Her sister can be bossy. Through all of this Emma meets a neighbor fella named Sam and they develop a friendship . I was really surprised at some of the twists and did not expect them . When Emma unfolds the secrets of her past she deals with the subject of forgiveness in many ways. And there is a happy ending. This was the 2nd book in a series and I did not read the 1st but was not lost in the story at all. Was given a complimentary copy but was not required to give a positive review. The opinion is my honest thoughts on this book.
