Hadn't read any from this author before. This would be a young adult fiction book . It hooked me in quickly with the story. It deals with some tough things but the author wrote about them well. Melissa is one of the main characters and this girl has had to deal with a tough family life and some moves and even some bullying . This book really makes you think of what kids and teens deal with nowadays . Good book but not a happy cheery story.
