A Monstrous Beauty is the second in a series. I did not read the previous story. Let me tell you that this one really pulled me in from the beginning. Ethan and Annabelle's story is such a sweet one as it develops. The story is a remaking of Beauty and the Beast and I saw things very similar to that in this story but also little twists that made it a little bit more modern. Annabelle's situation with her sisters is also like the Cinderella stories with her sisters not liking her. Ethan was hurt as a boy and hides his scars. The author did a good job with the writing of this. I could just imagine seeing Ethan's mansion and how it looked and the garden. Great read that I really enjoyed.
