This book is alot about slavery. The story starts in the year 1857. America is a young brave girl. She is leaving college for a visit home. Her focus with her visit is to confront her father in letting his slaves free. It is hard to read and imagine what people went through in that time. In this story you will also read about forgiveness. A good read with alot of history in it.
