I have not read the first book but was still able to read this story without any confusion. Jennifer Delamere is the author of this book and she is a new to me author. I found this story to be a good one. It is a historical fiction. The story revolves around a young woman finding her place in the world and that took strength in the days when there were things that were considered to be only work for men. I found Julia to be a strong and kind of stubborn young woman and she also seemed to be brave too. The romance between Julia and Michael was interesting with them being from such different lifestyles and the obstacles that came with that. I loved how in the accident scene that Julia did not hesitate to get involved . This story has alot of good descriptive writing in it that will transport you to where you can feel like you are right there in the scenes. Great writing by the author. Enjoyable read. Disclaimer : I was given a complimentary copy of this book but all thoughts and opinions are my own honest ones.
